Game too slow

Activate option „Highlighting outline“ or „Highlighting off“ from the Roulette Options dialog.

And/Or Deactivate media effects from the same dialog.

Game runs out of memory

Activate option „Highlighting outline“ or „Highlighting off“ from the Roulette Options dialog.

And/Or Deactivate media effects from the same dialog.

You might actually not be able to do this if the game crashes before you get there. Then, do the following:

Rename the file „roulette-failsafe.opt“ to „roulette.opt“ in the „config“ folder where you installed the game You may first have to delete or rename an existing file of that name.

Game crashes

You may not have installed a recent version of Microsoft DirectX DirectShow and DirectSound on your Windows95 system. Please, check the system requirements.

The new fullscreen option available with Java 1.4 can crash the game or even the browser if game runs as an applet. Sometimes, simply restarting the game helps. Once you are in fullscreen mode, it is stable until you use the ALT-TAB key to switch windows. Do not do this. Rather, quit the casino hall.

If game crasches before you can reach the option dialog to disable it, the rename the file „roulette-failsafe.opt“ to „roulette.opt“ in the „config“ folder where you installed the game You may first have to delete or rename an existing file of that name.

The installation directory is directory named „.ecasino“ in your user's home (profile) directory.

You hear no sound on Windows NT

This may happen. Windows NT has no sound mixing capabilities and so you may hear no sound. Disable all sound effects, and leave only „Animation on“ in the game settings dialog.

The game does not start at all

You will most probably not have Java installed properly. At the command prompt (DOS prompt), you must be able to say „java –version“ without any error message.

If this fails, you most likely have to re-install java.

You need Java 1.3 or, preferably 1.4. It is available at java.sun.com/getjava.

You need the Java Media Framework JMF version 2.1.1a or higher, ie., the Windows Acceleration option. The game will point you there if you haven't instaleld it yet.
